Further argument was neard yesterday in the Appeal Court before the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) nnd Mr. Justice Edwards and Mr. Justice Cooper in tho action in which, the Palmorston North Borough Council sought an. injunction restraining John Octavius Batchclar of Pulmerston North, from maintaininß certain yroyne;, lie had erected in tho Manawfltu Eivcr, near tho litzherbert Bridee. Mr. C. P. Skerrett, K.C., wih him Mr. ]? Cooko, npneared for the )laintiff corpomtion, ami Mr. M, Myers, with him Mr L. L'E. Edwords, for ihc defendant. Ifumont will be continued to-morrow.
