A chase ensued, in which a pursuer fired a revolver. Roebuck and C'orbett were caught, the latter being entangled in barbeil-wiiw. Later, Constable O'Neill arrested Si'Cfregnr, the accused being motored to New Plymouth. About 5 a.m. 10-dny a search warrant whs executed by the police, and miscellaneous goods, valued at £% were discovered under tlio premises of Roebuck nnd M'Grcgor. The Roods have been identified )>y local storekeepers.
