SINN FEIN-NATIONALIST ! CONFERENCE TIME ON THE SIDE OF REASON London, April 2S. The "Daily Express" correspondent at Dublin states that a conference of ten is sitting continuously at the Mansion House. It includes Messrs. ,T. Dillon, Do Valera, J. Devlin, aud T. Hoaly. The conference is giviiig Irishmen time and better counsels. Timo is on the side of peace. As a member of llio conference said to-day, "Even Irishmen may tire of spitting fire." Mr. Wiliiftm O'Brien said: "A programme of Dominion Homo liulo forthwith for all Ireland, and no military compulsion, represents <ur irrevocable demand." Visiting correspondents doclaro that upon the subject of conscription Ireland for tho timo being is a united nation. Tho words "No Conscription" are boldly printed on tho chest of tlio Farnell statuo, the same 6ign is in shop windows, and tho words arc heard in conversation ovorywhero in tho streets. It is expected that tho application of the Lord Mayor of Dublin for a passport to ■Washington will bo granted. He will put the anti-conscription case before President Wilson. It is understood that Mr. 11. E. Dulco is resigning tho Irish Secretaryship, and it is likely that Mr, E. Short, AI.P. for Nowcnstle-on-Tyne, will succeed him.— Aus.-X.Z. Cable Assn.
