e The weather yesterday held out Borne hope of improvement, but bv the aftornoon that hope had During the evening nil clcctrical disturbance took place, with an accompaniment of wind, rain, and hail. Present indications, according to tho official report, are for cold and stonnv weather, with the wind in the south, heavy showers generally, and snow on the higher levels of the South Island.
