NAVAL ENGAGEMENT IN THE ADRIATIC
AUSTRIAN DESTROYERS CHASED TO DURAZZO. (Rcc. April 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 27. Tho Admiralty reports:—"Two of our destroyers on April 22 encountered and engaged five Austrian destroyers in the Adriatic'.. The enemy Hod to the shelter of the fortified port of. Durazzo, pursued by our destroyers, who were reinforced by five more British destroyers and one French destroyer. The clioso continued until after midnight, when wo lost touch with the enemy. Our casualties wore seven killed and nineteen wounded, it is aot known what damage was inflicted on tho enemy."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asan.E«uter. DURAZZO BOMBED. (Rcc. April 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 27. The Admiralty reports:—"The British air forces on April' 23 dropped a ton of bombs, witli good results, on a seaplane base at Durazzo."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-E-outer. THE AUSTRIAN VERSION OP THE AITAIE, (Rec. April 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, April 27. A wireless Austrian official report states:—"On the night of April 22 our destroyers advanced to the Otranto Straits, .and seriously damaged an enemy destroyer in an engagement with light forces."—Aus.-N.Z.
