Ma.if: ers , affecting tho trade should be carefully handled, m order that no heartburnings might result, and that the association itself might not be placed in an invidious, position If such conld be accomplished it was suggested that each centre be regarded as a branch or district, controlled by the. member of committee of management with, if advisable, a small committee to act with him in dealing with district matters of local interest. Reports were also received regarding I the constitution and inles and the appointment of an advisory committee. _ The chairman, in moving tho adoption of the report, said that the association, notwithstanding the difficulties surrounding its initial operations, had performed good work, not the least being that mem. bers bad been able to get to a better understanding on many matters touching tho conduct of their business. He felt sure that with tho proposals which would be placed before thfi meeting in active operation, a very great deal of benefit would bo derived by members. Brookes, Horner and Vause. j The committee of management was reelected, with the exception of Mr. Weblev, who wished to stand down in favour of a Ghristchiirch representative. Messrs. Brookes and Vnuso were appointed auditors. i In order that members may be proI tected f r om inadvertently selling iopy- ! right publications, it was resolved thai I the British and Australian associations j lie asked to request their members to ! advise Iheir respective associations of copyrights that they individually controlled, in order that such associations may advise the New Zealand Association. It was made clear during the discussion that it was entirely through ignorance that certain copyright publications had been sold. It was resolved to communicato with the British and Australasian associations giving particulars oj tho meeting and forwarding copies of the constitution and rulo= when ready.
