OFFICERS REABSORBED PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS. The appointments, promotions, and retirements of the under-mentioned officers of the Territorial Force have been anproved:— Captain (temporary Major) A. S. Herbert, M.8., M.R.G.S., J'tog.. N.Z.M.C, is granted tho temporary rank of lieuleiiantcoloncl, whilst employed as principal medical officer, King Hospital, Rotorua. Dated April 1, 1918. Ist Mounted Rifles (Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry). Captain (Quartermaster) J. A. Northcote retires under the provisions of paragraph 126, General Regulations, 1913, and is granted tho honorary rank of major. Dated April I, 1918. sth (Wellington) Regiment. Reserve of Officers. Major W. G. Wray, M.C.. is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F. with effect from May S, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank, viz., captain, as from May 19, 1913, vide N.Z. Gazette No. 46, of June 12, 1913. 10th (North Otago) Regiment. Second Lioutenaut H. M'l'ntvro is 6truck off the strength of the N./.8.1'. with effect from May i, 1918, and is absorbed into the regiment with his original rack and seniority therein, viz., second lieutenant as from August 18, 191G, vido N.Z. Gazette No. 103, September 14. 1916. 12th (Nelson and Marlborough) Regiment Reserve of Officers. Captain G. Lewis is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F with effect from May 10, 1918, and u absorbed with his original rank, viz., lieutenant, as from December 13, I'JOS. vide N.Z. Bridge is struck oif the strength of the N.i.F.i:. with effect from April 15, 1918, and is absorbed into tho regiment, with his origimu rank and seniority therein, viz., second lieutenant, as from February 1, 191 li, vide N.Z.
