FINE WEATHER
Yesterday in Wellington, in spite, of the unfavourable prediction in the official forecast from tho .Meteorological Department, was lieautifully fine, with a light breczo from tho north. Elsewhere- southerly winds have predominated, with scattered showers, but a general improvement was noted. Present indications arc for strong west to sou'-west winds, changeable weather, with passing showers, particularly along the West Coast. Tho barometer is unsteady, but has a rising tendency.
