The Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) presided at., a sitting, of . tho Divorce Court on Saturday morning, and heard tiio petition, iii which Cluu'los Edward Waugli sought a divorce from his wife, Susan Waugli, on the grounds of misconduct. Tho parties wero married in '1903, and. there was ono. child, of the marriage. Petitioner alleged that. ~re'spondent 'spondent took to .drink and .tho. rise of drugs. . Lntor she left Mm, and lie did not know where sho.w'as until informed by. tho policc. He receivad information that his wife had misconducted herself with a' labourer named ' Hugh Mayne; who was named a? the.correspondent. Constable J. Scarry.stated, in evidence that hp knew Susain. Waugh.. On tho night of February 7 last .lio. heard, obscene language emanating from. a. houso in Tory Place. Witness..and.. Sergearit if/Lean' made inriiiiries .as. to .the occulinnts of the premises, aud. discovered tho respondent and correspondent, together .in
a front r00m.,.. .. - Sergeant M'Lean '" gave corroborativo evidence. ... His Honour granted a decree nisi, and also made' an order, -declaring tlio'. woman as being-unfit to havo the custody of the child. Costs on the lowest scale were.given against tho co-respondent.
