FATAL TREE-FELLING ACCIDENT. By TclcsrraDh— Press Association. Rotorua, April 22. A Maori named Taiuo Pitaka w-as foiling a treo on Saturday,, when-iv wire used for straining broke, and tho tree fell tl/6 wrong way. Pitaka was severely injured, and died in the hospital on Sunday. ' William .Tose'ph Temple, of.Ruatangnta West, .while clearing timber at Parua Bridge, spanning (ho Wairua River, fell into tho Hooded stream, and was carried away, without any hope of rescue. _ A search is being made for the body. Deceased leaves a widow and six children.'
