COST OF A GREAT WORK. For the first timo since the war bogau the income of tho Red Cross, during tho year ended October 20 last was not sufficient lo meet tho expenditure, states the "Daily Mail." From the beginning of the war until the end of the Inst financial year the public had subscribed -L'b,451,7!10 17s.
