Bii:k tprcaidciiL) was in the chair, and them was an ntteudiuico ot iiUty-Uireo munibcrK. The secretarv reported tijat Jlr. Jl. F. Koss, of Tinwakl, was tho bucccssl'ul tornpetitor for tho Studholmo diuiomii und sold ])ie<ial in tho club's thirteenth comiietition. Tho judgea had adjudicated on tho teams as exhibition specimens in tho- prosent competition for tho Leglv>rn, Wyandotte, and Orpington challeiiga ehiulds. Mr. J. \Y. Greon suggested that all tho birds in tho competition should bo checked and re-runs lvith celluloid, rings of as many colours as possible;' owing to tho poor quality of tho aluminium rings supplied this year. On tho motion of Mr. Atkinson, tUo suggestion was agreed, to, and tho management committee was deputed to carry out tho work. Mr. Carlylo Atkinson, winner .of tho firefc prizo in tho club's essay competition, read an essay ou "Incubation to Breeding Fen." After answering many Questions at its conclusion, ho was accorded a- hearty voto of thanks. At the close of the meeting Messrs Green Bros., the breeaors of tho Whito Leghorn hen which, laid 317 ejgs in. twelve months in the club's sinslc pen competition, entertained the mombore to refreshments.
