ANZAC EVE GATHERING
Next Wednesday, Anzac in the Grand Opera House, the public of "Wellington will bo privileged to hear something about the inoniorablo landing of our boys -at Anzao. Their movements will to illustrated by actual photographs taken at that famous spot, tho battlefields of which liave stood the test of modern warfare, will bo described; General Sir Robert Anderson, K.C.M.G., of the Australian Force, has also consented to give a short 6tory of his experiences, and an item which ought to bo of great interest to the Wellington public will bo a unique display of modern bayonet-fighting. Musical items wiU be rendered by men in khaki and regimental bands. The proceeds will be devoted to tho Wellington Returned Soldiers' Clubhouse Society, under whose aaspioes this gathering is being held. His Excellency the Govornor-Genoraland the Countoss of Liverpool -will attend. Tho Prime Minister will preside, and many loading oitizens havo (promised to be present. Tickets of admisaion can bo obtained from tho Returned Soldiers' Club or seats may be reserved at tho Bristol.
