NEED FOE GREATER ACTIVITIES. Ki6 Excellency the Governor-General has written as follows to Colonel Moorhouso upon receipt of a cablegram from tlio Secretary of State for the Colonies on behalf of the British Red Cross Society— "Dear Colonel Moorhouse,— "I attach a copy of a telegram which I received through the Secretary of State from the British Red Cross Society on April 14. In view of the fact that the requirements of the parent eociety -will undoubtedly be very severely taxed during the present year, I should be glad If you would ask the centres whether they could seo their way to make a special effort to 6ecure a substantial coptribution for the 'Our Day' collection. I fully realise all that has been achieved in this direction, and tho calls which have been and are being made by other well-deserving organisations, but this year, when unfortunately our casualties are bound to bo henvior than ever before, I think wo should endeavour to assist tho parent organisation to the uttermost.—Yours fsir.cerelv, "(Sgd.) LIVERPOOL." The cablegram received bv His Excellency is as _ follows:—"Following your telegram April 8, Red Cross Society contemplato another Our, Day appeal on same date in October and on same linos.
