SPECIAL DAY OF PRAYER
REMARKABLE RESPONSE BY THE I'UBJJIC. By Telegraph — Press Association. Dunedin, April 18. To-day was observed as a special day of prayer for tlio nation in the present crisis, and some seven thousand people attended continuous services arranged by the United Christian Council, lasting from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. In view of the remarkable response ..made by the public, the executive of'the council has decided to communicate with the representatives of Protestant churches m other centres, with a vi?w to having similar gatherings arranged.
