_« The Wellington Education Board met, yesterday. There were present: The Hon. J. G. W. Aitken (chairman), Messrs. J. Kebbell, G. Lundon, E. P. Eishworth, T. Moss, W. Allan, IV Forsyth, E. A. Wright, E. M'Callum, E. 11. Perry, and A. W. Hogg. It was notified that a Government grant of J2750 had been authorised' for additions to the Maranui School. > A proposal to change tho name of a school from "Wharau. to "Te Wharau" was agreed to. An application by Mr. V. O. PrestonThomas Otaki Uailway, for the establishment of a school in his locality was reforred to the inspector for a report. The following resignations wero accepted:—Mr. H. H. Sutton, assistant, Island Bay; Miss E. M. Snowden, solo teacher, Sea Vior; Miss W. Cathie, secondary assistant, Lovin District High School; Mrs. E. Cave, solo teacher, Pinohia Aided School; Miss I. Clark, sole teacher, The Eocks Aided School; and Miss L. Salisbury, probationer, Northland.
