At. iast week's meeting of tho cliaijiner a. reply was rccuivccl from the union statins; that there waa 110 rule forbidding any of its members to work after 10 p.m. Jho members were freo agents, who could ohoose for themselves what hours they would work, therefore tho union took no responsibility for tho action of its.individual members. Hie only comment made hy tho president of the chamber was that if there was no official union rule forbidding work aflcr 10 p.m. there certainly was an unwritten ono to that effect.
