BODY FOUND IN THE BUSH
Just before noon on Sunday, Sergeant Morrison and David Cooper, bootmaker, Upper Hutt, were going down a steep gully about 1} miles from the Upper Hutt, in the direction of Mangaroa, and when passing through dense ucrub they came across a human jawbone. On leaking further search they found tho remains of a body, alongside of which was a rifle'with an exploded cartridge in the breech. Constable Cumming3 was informed, and he had the body removed to the Upper Hutt, where it was identified as that of No. 8/2352 Private Henry Eric Walter, a returned soldier, who had been missing for about six nionths. The deceased's relatives are believed to be in London. An inquest will be held at the Upper Hutt to-morrow.
