GOVERNMENT'S ACTION _AT>PKOVED. By Tolegraph-Presa Association. Creymoutii, April 11. ' At the Eorougli Council meeting tonight the fallowing resolution was. carnod unanimously:—"That the lit. Hon. the-Prime Minister'be informed that the resolution demanding the release of P. (J. Webb, pas.;ed by a public meeting held at Greymouth at t'he instance- of the Federation of Labour, in no nay represents the feelings of the citizens of Greymouth, the meeting being mainly composed of members of unions at Rnnanga, Paparoa, and Blackball, and that the council strongly approves of the action of the Government in administering tlio Military Service Act without fear or favour/ irres]>ecfcive of ilie positions held by persons called up for service."
