ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS

Mr. Ernest W. Hunt (.president) presided over a good attendance of members at the opening meeting of the 1918 session of the Wellington Accountant Students' Society. He outlined the syllabus arranged for tho session, and expressed- the opinion that the lectures would be of great use to students and practising accountants. Feeling reference was made to the great loss sustained by the society in tho recent death of Mr. C. B. Robertson, one of its earliest and most active members, and a resolution of sympathy with tho deceased member's family was passed tho following members were at tho Novemhor examinations of the New Zealand Society of Accountants :-Miss R. E. Cooper, Mrs. A. R, O'feu ivan, Messrs. W. L. Dunn, H. L Halliday, H. R. Levick, E. V. Paul, and W. Crawford Young. . , „ During the evening "ten-minute papers were read bv tho following members-.-Mr W. L. Dunn, "Co-operation on Fay Day"; Mr. W. Crawford Young. "Special Features of Jewellers' Account.".''; Mr. H. L. Hallidav, "System of Obtaining Goods Without Production of Documents." A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Clio three members for their Interesting and practical papers.
