The weekly dance of the Sydney Street Soldiers' Club will be held this evening, and holders of blue tickets are asked to be at the club by seven o'clock, or as soon after as possible. The marriage took place in St. j Mary's Church, Addington, of Miss Matilda Campbell, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Campbell, Addington, to Mr. William Shurrock, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Shurrock, also of Addington. Mrs. Coleman Phillips has returned to Carterton from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. W. F. Massey has received a sum of £15 from Te Horo, and another of £5 from Mrs. W. S. Iteid, The Terrace, for the E&etihi l r ire [Relief Fund. At a meeting of the executive held oil Monday it was arranged to postpone the unuual meeting until May, iu order to give time for all societies wishing to affiliate to do so.s iiacli society is entitled to one or more representatives on the committee according to number of members. All applications should bo sent to Miss England, 125 Molosworth Street. The executive for tho ensuing year will be appointed at the annual meeting by and from among members of tho committee.
The monthly meeting of tke committee of the District iNursing Guiid o[ St. John was held on Monday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. W. 11. S. iMoorhousc. There were present:— Mesdames Moorhouso (presiding), Barciay, Corrignn, Gibbons, Hisses Robiesoii and Edmeades (lion, secretary). Apologies were received from Mos(liunes Balcombe Brown, Pearson, and Tripo. The report of the nurses showed that thirteen patients were registered during the month, 11 were discharged, one died, and. 242 visits wore paid. Gifts of clothing, etc., wore acknowledged with thanks_ from Mesdaines Moorhouso, Corrigan, Tripo, Myers, Camion, Red Cross Society, Miss Hobieson, and four anonymous donors. A subscription of £1 Iβ. from Mrs. Corrigan and donations as follows:—Mrs. W. F. Barraud, £2, a, grateful patient, ss. Troublesome coughs in oM and young are quickly stopped by NAZOL.
