SUDDEN DEATH AT WADESTOWN

The adjourned inquest touching the death of John Paaskc, who was found dead in his house on April 5 at Wadestown, was held by Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., yesterday afternoon. Dr. Fyff'e, who made the po6t-mortera examination, stated that the deceased was an old man and the body was in a most advanced stage of decomposition. The man looked .as if he had been dead about ten days. The heart was extremely fatty. No definite sign of violenco was found, but the tongue being protruded might have caused suffocation. Decomposition was too advanced to. say whether anything had compressed tho neclc. There was no fracture of tho skull. The extraordinary part of the case was the enormous amount of decomposition that had taken place in so short a time. There should be an inquiry as to whether the gas was turned on. A cut or wound on the body would have accelerated decomposition, but ho could find no signs of any wound or cut. There were no signs of any poisoning. Another witness stated that Paaako used electric light in «is rooms, and had a gas ring in tho kitchen for cooking, his meals. At this stage the inquest was further adjourned to Saturday so that additional witnesses may be heard with respect to the gas arrangements and the state of the back promises.
