Mr. W. G. Talbofc, who has hold tho position of secretary of the Wellington Rugby Union since 1907, lias intimated that, on account of pressure of business, his services will no longer be available. There are to be a wide verandah and porch, and the fittings and'appointments are to be of a thoroughly up-fo-dato character. Tho institute is to bo for tho bonefit of soldiers of all denominations.
