CASE OF MR. M'COMBS, M.P.
CREDITORS' PETITION WITHDRAWN. By Telegraph—Press Association, Christohurch, April 8. The adjourned liearing of the creditors' petition of Bowron Bros, and T. Kiiicaid, Ltd., calling on Jamea M'Combs, M.P., to show cause why he should not be declared a bankrupt, was taken before Mr. Justice Stringer to-day. Mr. M'Combs did not appear. Mr. Wright, for the petitioning creditors, said the full amount of 'the judgment, together with all costs,, had been, paid into Court. They did not wish, therefore, to proceed, and asked permission to withdraw the petition. He added that it was understood that Mr. 'M'Coinbs had settled with all his creditors. • His Honour said the petitioning creditors were entitled to accept payment if they chose, though they were not boundto do so. The petition would he withdrawn by leave of the Court.
