FORECAST_AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Pment indications are for strong and variable ivinda, with westerlies to eoutherlios predominating. Unsettled and cloudy weather is probable gonerally, with further rain in most parts of the Dominion. Barometer unsteady in the northern districts, but rising elsewhere. A storm area ruled in the south during tho week-end, and accounted for westerly gales and boisterous conditions in and southwards of Cook Strait, and unsettled and wot weather generally.
