The coastal steamer Huia, which has been lying at her berth at Dunedin for some weeks, was recoiuniissioned. on •. Pndav. Captain D. Manning, formerly maater" of the Kotare, made arrangements for manning the vessel. Steam was raised on tho vessel's boilers on Friday, and sno was expected to sail at noon on Saturday for Lyttelton and Wellington. Captain Banning intends to accompany the vcsbcl to' Wellington, end ho will subsequently return to Dunedin to take command M tho auxiliary schooner Gisborne, which is being fitted up for tho Dunedin-Inyeroar-gill trade. „ . , As thcro is very littlo cargo oflcring here for Bluff and Inveroargill, tho Kotare will ndt make a trip south for somo tirao. llio Kotare was fixed to sail on Saturday night with gcneAl cargo for Timaru and Lyttelton. She will afterwards load a full shipment of general merchondiso at the Canterbury port for .Wellington. After discharge hero the Kotare will go to Nyrila Bay to load timber for LyttcltoD. bhc will Btibscnuontly load for Dunedin.
