At Feilding on Friday a moderate entry.of sheep and a small yarding of cattle came forward. The sheep generally were of a poor class, and competition was not brisk. Wo quitted the whole of our entry with the exception of one pen: Cull lambs, 4s. 4d. to sb. 2d.; forward ewes, 21b.; small 2-tooth ewes, 235.; medium 2tooth wethers, 255.; fair 2-tooth wethers, 28s. 5d.; rams, 10s.; store cows, £5 ss. to £5 10s.; light fat cowb, £9 Us. to £9 15s. Bidding was inclined to drag and several lots were passed, but were all disposed of by the close of the sale. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report having held their weekly kale at Carterton on Friday, when they submitted about 1500 sheep, and a good yarding of cattle and pigs to a large attendance of the public. Bidding at auotion was rather sluggish, but good business was done by private treaty, and we report practically a total clearance. Quotations:—Fat ewes, 28s. 10d.; forward ewes, 235., 235. 6d., 255. 6d„ 265., to 265. 7d.; a line of 4-tooth wethers made 30s. Id.; 2-tooth ewes and wethers (small),' 258. 2d.; store ewes, 125., 17s.
