BULLS PUBLIC LIBRARY
THE OPENING CEREMONY. An event of some importance in the history of Bulls was, writes our special correspondent, celebrated on Wednesday afternoon when the new public library was opened. The building has been erected on the original sito given by Mr. J. Bull, now of London, and replaces the old wooden structure destroyed by fire some time ago. Tho new structure is of ferro-concrete and has been erected without the ratepayers in tho Town Board district being called upon to pay a special library' rate, in view of tho revenue derived from tho pictures. The township was en fete for tho occasion, there being a liberal display of bunting. All tho members of tho Town Board (Messrs. Walker, H. M'Manaway. Edwards, and Hosking) were present, and the chairman, Mr. Walker, in the course of a happy little speech, presented Mrs. J. Bull, jun., with a silver key. The latter theii performed tho oponing coremony, amidst the plaudits of the large assemblage. The key is to bo forwarded to Mr. Bull, tho donor of tho sito. Mr. E. Newman, M.P., dolivered an interesting address, and at the of the ceremony tho public indulged in afternoon tea at tho Town Hall. The building, in addition to being used as a library and reading room, "will also provide a meoting place for the Town Board. The electric installation has been carried out by Mr. Mansell, who made a gift of tho points and fittings. In the reading room an enlarged photograph of the donor of the site has been hung.
