Sir,—lt-is impossible to privately thank all who so generously and promptly responded to my appeal for good clean clothing for the Haetihi fire sufferers, as many of the parcels Here anonymous. They came in from Eketahuna, the Hutt, Karori, Northland, Carterton, Te Horo, Berhampore, Petone, Island Bay, from Featherston Schcol, Clyde Quay School, Terrace' School, Knox Church School at Petone, SW Vincent de Paul Society, several sewing guilds, and from sympathisers all over the city of 'Wellington. A letter 01 thanks from the Raetihi Committee and appreciation of the promptitude with which relief was sent came to me last week-end.
