MYSTERY NO LONGER
"X" DISEASE TRACED. The mysterious "X" disease has piactically been identified by the officers of the New South Wales. State Health Department as polio-encaphalo-inyJstis. AJthough of rare occurrence, it is apparently not an absolutely new disease, as it has appeared in other psrts of the world. It is a very close relation to the disease which produces infantils pi-aljsis. That disease affects the v;rey matter of the spinal cord while ''X" rffects the grey matter of the brain as well. The bacteriologists of the Department are continuing their investigations, and it is hoped that satisfactory progress will be mads in tho direction of discovering a cure for i'ae new malady.
