At the clearing sale held at Ngaturi, on Wednesday on account of Mr. J. A. Hair, the sheep came forward in good order, and although no extremely high prices were reached etill a lairly satisfactory average waß realised. Tho best price obtained was for a line of 508 six-tooth ewes, 325. Tho ewe lambs, which were rather a good lot, sold at a very reasonable price, viz., 13s. 6d., tho wether lambs, realising 12s. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department, report having held their weekly sale at Masterton, when they offered over 30CO sheep and about 120 head of cattlo to a good attendance. Competition was oiceptionally keen, ior sheep, and although ono or two pens . failed to reach vendor's reserves a, very successful sale has to be reported upon. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having, held their fortnightly sale at Talhape on Wednesday, when a heavy yardlinp; of sheep and a fair entry of cattle came forward. There was a good attendance of buyers, and we report a total clearance with the exception of two small pens. Good, sound breeding ewes were in good demand, but all lines of indifferent sheep wore dull of Bale. Quotations: Mixed lambs, 12s. to 135.; cull lambs, ss. 2d., sb. Bd., to Bs.
