ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
FARMER KILLED BY A TRAIN

A farmer named Johaufsen, of "ft'eymouth, Manurewa, was run over by a train at Takanini, 17 miles south of Auckland, last evening, and badly mutilated. Death was instantaneous. It is believed he endeavoured to alight while the train was in motion, the body being found immediately the train left tho station.
A married woman, Mrs. Mary Dulfy, died suddenly at three o'clock yesterday morning at her home, No. 8 Poplar Grovo, Northland. The deceased was aged about 67 years, and the police report that death was apparently due to natural causes. An inquest will be held at 11 o'clock this morning by Mr. M'Carthy, S.M.
