LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
OUR BOYS Sir, —There havo been numerous complaints of delay in information coming ■ from linden reJatiing to '"our boys" of lute. Tlio fault is not tho High Commissioner, but the table company. Hero is .ft case in point. 1 received the following cablegram at 11 a.m. to-day and had to pay.'for same. This part I would willing have dene had tho wire arrived in u reasonable time. But you will see bv tho elate of same that it took something like six weeks to arrive, and in the meantime 1 had a letter from my eon telling mo lie was hotter and about to join Lie battalion. The cablegram runs: "London, February 16. Collect via Eastern. Son convalescent burns. Practically recovered, Mackenzie." A largo number of these "wires" are arriving and are useless hocaime of delay. Tho High Commissioner's intention is good, and I appreciate it; but delay has killed his goodness.—l am, etc.,' MARK MAXTON. Greytown, March 28.
