Experiments carried out during tlie years 1014 and 1915 in Germany showed that aqueous solutions of lead nitrate exercised a stimulating effect-on a majoritv of agricultural plants, pro'vided too' much of this substance- was not used. The lead nitrate, was made into a lino powder and mixed with potash salt or. sodium nitrate, and then used as a fertiliser. Good results were secured with rye,- wheat, oats, barley, maize, pens, and boots, but not with potatoes.
