The figures in connection with _ the revenue and expenditure on the city's elestric. lighting ■business continue, satisfactory. ..In. the course of a return submitted to the Tramways and Electric Power Stations Committee of the City Council yesterday afternoon it was set'out that the revenue for tlie eleven months ended February. 28 was £78,216, £6710 in excess of that for the corresponding period of last .year, whilst the working expenses were £37,675, £6568 in excess cf that for the last corresponding period. After deducting capital charges, a credit of £23,898 is left for eleven months' working—£l42 more than last year. • ' ■ The figures for February (with those for the corresponding month of last year) aro'as follow:— 1918. 1917.
