A CHRISTCHURCH RESOLUTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, March 25. At to-night's meeting of the City Council the following resolution was carried: "That this council urge the Minister of Public Works to allow Mr. W. H. Hagger, Conciliation Commissioner, to proceed to Otira with a view of settling tho unfortunate dispute there."
Councillor Hunter, who. moved the motion, said the tunnel might: be declared "black" by organised Labour, and great difficulty would be experienced in getting any labour there. It would be a great misfortune if that stage were reached. It was statedj that the men had asked the Minister to appoint Mr. Hagger. The Town Clerk was_ instructed to telegraph tho resolution to the Minister.
