Competitions wero held with tho lolloiving results:— Ladies' driving—Miss Petne, lbO yards. Ladies' approaching and put-ting-Miss Pearson. Men's driving— W. Macbeth, 200 yards. Men's approaching and putting—r. R. Boyes. Afternoon tea was provided by the lady members in tho ehib house.

WELLINGTON CLUB. Tho' annual meeting of the- Wellington Golf Club was held on Friday evening, when Mr. T. S. Weston presided. In a short opening address, tho club captain, Mr. T. S. Weston, said that in regard to finance tho club had managed to hold its own. The club was much, indebted to the secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Wylie, for his, untiring efforts nnd valuable services. Apparently members wero satisfied with lust season's committee, as they had been re-elected for the ensuing year. It was the intention of the club to make vast improvements at the Heretaunga links, but these would not bo commenced until tho termination of the war. 'Hie report and balance-sheet were adopted. Ln.st year's officers were declared to be re-elected. They were: as follow:—-President, the Riixht Hon. , Sir Joseph Ward, Bart.; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. Webster and J. A. Tike; captain. Mr. T. S. Weston: committee, Messrs. F. A. Tvebbell, D. Stewart, H. D. Cook. A. W. Butt: representatives of debenture-holders, Messrs. F. G. Dakiell and A. _E. Pea-rce; trustees, Messrs. L. 0. Tripp and T. Young; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Wylie; auditors. Messrs. Watkins, Hxill', Hunt,:, and Wheelor; hankers, Union Bank of Australia, Ltd. The ladies' eornmittee consists of Mrs. ■T. Findlay (captain), Misses Wheeler, Mantel], "Kennedy. Mrs., Marchbanks, and Miss M. Ward as secretary.
