i ST. PATRICK'S DAY TOURNEY The rink tourney commenced lust Monday on the Newtown and Hataitai greens was advanced to the final stage on Saturday. Play in most of the games was very keen, and the afternoon being calm and tho greens being fairly fast considering the rain that has fallen lately, thoro were somo close finishes, especially on tho Newtown green, whore of the three games played two wero decided on the extra head, Duff (Newtown) being the winner in each case. Tho game between Fountain and Duguid was stopped when sixteen beads had been played on account of the bad I light, and will be completed on the Hataitai green this afternoon if tho weather is favourable. The present scores are: Fountain, 20; Duguid, 11. The final of the tournament will be played between Duff's Newtown rink and the Hataitai winners as soon as possible after Easter. FRIENDLY V.
