BRITISH CROSS THE JORDAN
PROGRESS MADE EASTWARD
London. March 21. An official message from Palestine I states: "We have consolidated and iru- ' proved our positions, and occupied Ermusallabss and the high ground eastward- three miles northward of the Wadi Auja. We also occupied Bestrima and Kefrtut, near Bepballut. The Elying Corps dropped 470 bombs on El Kutrani • station and trains. Direct j hits were obtained."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Renter. (Rec. March 25, 0.30 a.m.) London, March 23. A Palestine official report states:— "Our parties crossed the Jordan, dc- ' spite the strong current, yesterday morning. The river was then bridged.
