REDRESS FOR PRISONERS

IMPROPERLY TREATED IN GERMANY. (Rec. March 24, 5.5 p.m.) London, March 22. In the House of Commons Mr. J. F. Hope stated that the Government was determined to ensure redress for British prisoners improperly treated in Germany. He also stated that it had been thought desirable to transfer a number of German officers from the West of England to the East Coast. This was not a reprisal or punishment. The climate of Kent and the Esses roast was probably better for a number of prison camps:—Reuter.
