AND CO. and J. M. PECK AND. SONS, in conjunction, have received instructions from Mr. E. A; Porter: to submit ;by Public-Auction and for absolute sale,, on the abbve date, the whole of his celebrated Stud Lincoln . Flock, excepting only 1917 drop, which will be offered next year. Mr. Porter now finds that he cannot givo the necessary time and attention to the flock, and has therefore reluctantly decided to dispose of it. Tlio opportunity is therefore presented to breeders and others of obtaining sheep second to none in the Commonwealth, representing the result of 40 years of one expert's experience. Eighty-five per cent, of all. rams sold have bpen studs, and only the pick, of each year's ewe increase has been added to the flock, with the view of keeping up the standard rather than increasing the number. Constitution, wool, frame, and early maturity have always-been prominent features. The most suitable sires procurable have been purchased as required. Rains have cut up to 351b. one year's growth, and ewes up to, 231b. The flock yearly averages from 15lb. to 171b. The flock has had a remarkably successful career at the Melbourne A.S.B.A. and Royal Shows, winning many champion and other prizes, including Sires' Memorial Cup, for one yearling ram and two yearling ewes, since its inception in' 1907 (excepting two' years). The last two years that the floclc competed at. each of the above shows (which_ nre acknowledged to'be the beat exhibitions in Australia) it gained a largo proportion of the prizes offered: Catalogues on application lo the agents.
