HOSPITAL BOARD
YESTERDAY'S MEETING. The Wellington Hospital Board met yesterday. Mr. H. Jlaldwin presided. it was reported that the following members of tho honorary dental staff liad been in attendance during the month:—Messrs. 1. Burgess, A. Hoby, G. Tripe, Dr. Haywood, W. B. Struthers Jk. E. Itennision, P. Jeffries, W. Alpin, 0- Ellis. It was stated that the City Council had been requested to allow the motor ambulance to exceed 15 miles per hour for urgent pases. . Tho position of radiologists to bo offered to Dr. Robertson for a period of two years at a salary of £6UU per annum, rising by yearly increments at £100 to £800. .' It was reported tbat Mr. 1. S. ! Evans had been appointed to the position of collector, and that Mr. J. A. Natta had been. appointed temporary clerk. The Wellington Gas Company, it was stated, bad agreed to'charge Oβ.. per 1000 ft. l'or the consumed by the Hospital for the ensuing twelve months. . It was resolved that the services or Major Stowe should be secured lor the ' installing and carrying on of the X-ra.i' ■■department for a' limited period at a dailv fee: and that Dr. .Alexander Robertson should be appointed honorary surgeon to the Children's Hospital during Dr. Gibb's absence. Nurse Leo is to be promoted to tho position-of sister. Nurses Martin and Still, who have passed both hospital and State examinations and competed their four years' training, are leaving- '■
