The «arly running was made by JSoblcman, but. at tho six furlongs Kiltees and Jferrio Gain went to the front. •Bounding the home turn Gang Awa' went to tho lead, but in the straight the favourite got up and, in a close finish, won by a half leneth. Hastie was third, and -then came Mevrie Gain and Kiltesa.

A good favourite in Colorado scored in ■the Hack Welter' Handicap,' but it was only aftqr a very close finish, vrith Mnnu. -ivho led all the way. Warmth was well backed but the extra, weight told on him, anil ■ he finished * but of . a place, . after being prominent, iyfo ,the straight. Con ran a food race, and pot into tliird place.
