PONEKE CLUB'S ANNUAL • MEETING. The thirty-fifth annual meeting of the Poneke Football Club was held last night, Dr. A. K. Newman presiding. • The annual report,, which.was adopted, said that as all the eligible members of the club are in khaki the committee had'a strenuous time in placing a strong team in the field every Saturday. Although they did not win most of the contests, the team put up sonic splendid games- notably the two College matches, ia one of which they were successful, and against Old Boys, the runners-lip for .the championship. The financial position showed receipts to be £43.175. b'd., and the expediting £37 Is. lid. This, with a balance of £9 3s. sd. brought forward from last season, leaves a balance in hand of £15 19s.

The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Dr. A. £. Newman (re-elected); vice-presidents, all re-elected with the following: Messrs! J. Reich, G. Hume, 11. O'Brien, W. Bridson, E. Morrison, and S. Nicholls; treasurer, Mr. 0. Mitchell (re-elect-ed) ; secretary, Mr.' J. Montgomery (reelected ; gymnasium trustees, Messrs. Mitchell and Wren (re-elected) and Griffiths; selection committee, Messrs/ M'Arthur (re-elected), and Baker and \V. Christopherson; management committee, Messrs. A, Baker. J. Dobson, and F. Hurley (re-elected), and AV. Christopherson', J. Tilyard, and J. O'Brien; auditors, Messrs. A. F. Wiren and W. Hnod (re-elected); delegates to W.8.F.U., Messrs. A. Griffiths, W. J. White, and J. A. Montgomery (re-elected).
