There .were good' entries in other departments. Fat cattle and fat Jambs soid tirnily at the previous week's rates. Store sheep were easier and passings were- frequent, especially in the case of travelled sheep. Good locally-bred ewes, ewe lambs, and forward wethers maintained their values fairly well, but all other descriptions were easier., Fat sheep showed an advance, there being keen competition for export, values being equal to 6Jd. per lb. over ali for :wothers, and 6Jd. per lb. for ewes. ■There was a poor sale for store eattie, and most of the .yarding was passed. Good daily cows sold , .well/ as did fat pigs, and there .was a moderate demand for store pigs. : Store Sheep.—2-tooth ewes, to 38s. 8d.;.4 and b'-tooth ewes, 375. 3d.; 6 and 8-tooth ewes, 335.
