The New Zealand Loan and Xercantilo Agency Co. report:-At Fcilding, 6n Friday, we had a particularly heavy yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattlo, comprising mostly grown steers. Bidding throughout was very slaok, and buyers slow to operate on account of tho dry woathcr, with the result that sheep all round showed a sharp decline on recent values. Small lambs 7s. to Bs. 2d., medium lambs, 10s. lid.: fair lambs, Ms.; good lambs, 17s. la.; mixed-age eves. 18s. 6d. to 20b. 6d.: small two-tooth uwes, 18s. 6d.: two-tooth owes, 245. 6d. to 27»., and up to 355. for an extra good line; b.f. two-tooth, 225. 6d.:'(cull ewes, ss. to ss. 9d.; storo ewes, 10s. to 145.; four nnd five-year ewes. 21s. 6d. to .2.5s 6d.; Bmall wethers, Ms.;' two-tooth wothers (fair), 2f>s. to 275. 9d.: f.m. rams, 19a.; weaner hmfers. £Z 10s.-. mixed weanera, £2 165.; weaner 6teers. £i 10s. to £4; store cowb, £6; Bmall heifers, £4 7s. 6d.; forward cows, £9; fat cows. £13; rough two-year steers, £9 55.; two and a half-year steers, £12; bulls, £11.
The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. report:—At Pongaroa on Thnrßdny we hail a hoary yarding of sheep and a small one of cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers. 1-ut with tho exception of wethers and food young ewes competition was not Tory animated. Wo emitted almost the whole of our yarding n't the following prices:—Four-tooth wethers, 33;., 3?,5. 2d., and 31s. 2d.: two-tooth do., 275. 2d. to 285.; fair and five-year ewes. 16s. to 235.; woolly lambs, 165.; medium shorn do.. 9s. 6d. to 10s. 9d.; cnll do., "s. 9d. to ss. 6d.: good four-shear Lincoln rams. 12gns. to ligiis.: others, 15s. to 4gns.; Tiomney ramß, 12s. 6d. to 4gns.; 18-month steers, £6 ss. to £7; m.s. weancrs. £2 17s.
