IN excrciso of the powers vested in him by the Animals Protection Act. 1908 (hereinafter called "the Baid Act"), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby make ■ the following regulations respecting the Sambur or Ceylon deer shooting season within tho Counties of Jfanawatti, Oroua, Kairnnga, and Rangitikei (hereinafter called "tho said district"). EEGULATIONS. 1. Sambur or Ceylon deer may bo taken or killed within the said district from tho Ist day of June, 1918, to the 31st day of July, 1918, both days inclusive. 2. Licenses to kill such deer may be issued by the Ohief Postmaster at Wellington, and the Postmasters at I'almorston North, Bulls, Fox'ton, and Marton, on payment of a license fee of 205., in tho form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Acts and these regulations. 3. No licensee shall be allowed to take or kill moro than two stags or bucks of not less than six points, and one hind; and, further, the said Chief Postmaster and Poßtmasterß shall not issue more* than one license to take or kill deer to tho same person. 4. No licensee shall ;.llow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he nia-y have with him. 5. Nothing herein contained Bhall extend to authorising any person to sell any deer or portion thereof. Schedule.
