The Camp Commandant at Trentham acknowledges with, thanks receipt of . the following gifts, which have been distributed in the camp Lospitals:— From New Zealand Red Cross Society, Wellington, socks, bandages, magazines, .walking sticks; from Soldiers' Comforts Guild, Wellington, fruit, tomatoes, cake, cigarettes, tobacco, sweets; from Salvation Army, Wellington, cako, sweets, fruit; from Red Cross Shop, HuntoryiHo, 2. cases fruit, 1 case cakes.
At the Chamber of Commerce yesterday afternoon Messrs. S. George Nathan and Co. offered a rosidonce;mf ten rooms, with frontage to Tinakori Road and Thorndon Quay, but as the reserve was not reached it was passed in, and is now open for private sale.
