QUESTION OF THE LEVY STILL . UNSETTLED. By Tcleirrap!'.—Press Association. Creymouth, March 16. The executive of the State Miners' Union conferred with those members refusing to pay the levy to assist the men in Australia recently on strike. After considerable discussion, during which the executive produced receipts to show that money had been forwarded to Australia, it was intimated that the levy was being reduced from '1$ to 1} per cent. Two of the resistors pnid the levy, but thirty still declined. The general opinion at llunanga id that work will bo resumed on Tuesdav next. The loss in since Friday week amounts to £2000.
