MINIATURE RIFLE ASSOCIATION

The anuual general mooting of "the Wellington MiniSat'ure'- Ride-' 'Association was 'held' last-week." "-The" annual report showed'that the past year's work was very successful-) "and'the bal-ance-sheet disclosed a satisfactory financial position. There was a large attendance 'at the meeting. Along with many other institutions'the association ivus badly hit by the outbreak of war, and had to suspend operations for some time owing 'to the heavy enlistment of members' of the .clubs. Now, however, there arc sufficient active clubs (including two ladies' dubs) to carry on successfully, and'there is every prospect of miniature rifle shooting again flourishing.- 'The competitions in sight comprise :—Silver cup for individual championship; rose bowl for individual championship (ladies only); shield for teams' competition, and interclub matches. Tho-trophies mentioned were presented to the association by the president,' Jlr. .C. H. Osmond, to whom a hearty vote of thanks was car-, riod with acclamation.
